The dresser is made from Swedish clear pine, which has been kiln dried to make it very stable in today's centrally heated houses and apartments.
The drawers are made from 12mm Birch plywood which have dovetail joints to ensure that the drawers do not fall apart with time, the runners are made from oak.
Inside the cabinet there are dust covers between each of the drawers which stop things from falling down a “jamming” the drawers, it also helps to keep the contents of the drawers cleaner.
The drawer pulls are made from locally sourced maple and are hand turned in my workshop.
The finish is a hard wax oil—which will protect the surface from light scratched and a top coat of Light wax which gives day to day protection and a nice sheen/lustre to the finish.
When newly finished the pine is almost white in colour, but after about a year, it deepens to a light Honey colour.
I will give a guarantee for my lifetime that the dresser will last, that should there be a failure in the material (from normal use) I will repair it free of charge.
